With “Vicious Creature,” Lauren’s has produced a track whose mood mirrors the creative process as she transitions from CHVRCHES to doing her own thing. She sets herself specialty in themes with the subject of women’s identity and power, and in her songs, she rationally dissects and tackles the themes revolving around the music industry. It is a mixture of synth-pop and more intimate music genre that can give Lauren the freedom to convey emotions not expressed in earlier songs. All of them seem to have a rather personal feel and allows the listeners to appreciate her as a singer and to be touched by her storey. As for “Vicious Creature”, it is unique and unveils another side of Lauren, developing her artistic evolution.
