Paradise’s “One Of A Kind” is, in my opinion, arguably the single most remarkable track in which the quintet’s inexhaustible creativity and energy is magnificently captured. The onset of most songs are deemed boring, but the first riff pulls listeners into the world if rock with abrasive and raw guitars on the mix. The bass line single handedly seems to be the prominent feature of the mix as it anchors the sound in place with a solid foundation. The rhythmic subsections adds life and depth to the song while the aggressive vocals pack an emotional punch that lingers long after the song ends. The energetic intensity is perfectly counterbalanced with lighter melodies. Which is where, in my mind, is the entire logic behind why the song feels both fresh and familiar. Perfectly indicative of Paradise’s frightening level of talent and passion for rock, “One Of A Kind” is going to truly leave listeners thirsty for more.
