‘Havoc’ is a spectacular EP that is certain to leave everyone’s mouth agape. The Bonescrape band has put great effort into this record, considering it marks the transition from a four-person ensemble to a closely knit trio. Releases from the previous years may not have prepared us for the explosive amalgamation of wind instruments over the metalcore genre. Every song offers an exhilarating experience, The sharp guitar riffs and drums enable the listeners to feel. The vocals are also powerful as the raw aggression over mountainous melodies draws the audience in. The final track, ‘Nil’, has a more somber feeling to it as the piano offers a minute of peace after the stronger songs. The evolution of Bioscrape throughout the years is clear in tracks from this EP and it leaves us curious on how they will develop.
