Ugly’s first EP 'Twice Around The Sun' offers a whole ninety-minute experience that demonstrates eight years of band development. Led by their full band transformation and departure from traditional rock sounds the Cambridge six-piece explores diverse sonic elements through their colorful musical landscape. The EP kicks off with an explosive acapella tune which launches their avant-garde style before acoustic numbers 'Sha' and 'I'm Happy You're Here' reveal gentle emotions reminiscent of Big Thief. The EP stands out with 'Shepherd's Carol', an art-rock explosion showcasing Ugly's artistic abilities. Similar to their predecessors 'Such Holy Fool' and 'Connasgonia Useless' Ugly have proven their capability to shape a distinctive musical world which 'Twice Around The Sun' showcases to listeners through its dizzying yet captivating sounds.
