Taylor’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ Review: A Rare Misstep

In an era dominated by Taylor Swift's complete pop control 'The Tortured Poets Department' does not succeed since most of its songs feel uninspiring and clunky. The previous work of Taylor Swift showcased deep lyrics and emotional depth however this album presents excessive forced language alongside limited stylistic development. The Nashville punk anthem 'Miss Amenable' with its similar song 'Down Bad' provides forced vocalizations but the song with 'Down Bad' and Florence Welch faces limited successes in realising complete collaborative bonding. Throughout its songs the album maintains an atmosphere of uninteresting basicness rather than innovative progression. Taylor Swift's fans must wait with anticipation because her most recent album shows signs of rehashing previous popular tunes instead of introducing fresh innovative musical approaches.
