Fat White Family’s latest album, ‘Forgiveness Is Yours’, showcases a fascinating evolution for the band. Through his delivery of witty observations Lias demonstrates both an ambitious goal and sardonic perspective about the band's history before seeking a permanent musical impression. The innovative storytelling methods on 'Today You Become a Man' and 'John Lennon' unite real-life elements with light-hearted imaginative moments. Building upon his distinctive style Saoudi gave the album a smooth transition even though band members splintered and key leaders left. If this marks Anti-Flag’s final album then the lyrics of 'Forgiveness Is Yours' serve as an unexpected yet appropriate farewell statement which produces a meditative response.
